Dinner With Bevy was created by Bevy Smith in December 2006 when she realized there was a void in the market. Fashion people love music and music artists are obsessed with fashion, yet outside of the occasional fashion show, their paths rarely crossed. Based on Bevy's outstanding relationships in music and fashion, she decided to merge her rolodex and create Dinner With Bevy.
Bevy Smith's keen style sense and her razor sharp intuition to recognize trends makes her a distinguished figure in the worlds of fashion and media. This knowledge, combined with her quick wit and her appealing on-air persona, makes her a valuable talent resource for outlets such as VH1, E! Entertainment, Oxygen, BET, Food Network and TV ONE.
Recurring stints include celebrity lifestyle/fashion correspondent on TV ONE Access, a starring role as the "Style Den Maven" on BET's "My Model Looks Better than Your Model", as well as covering New York’s Fashion Week for Access Hollywood.
Smith is not only a regular on television, but is also a popular resource for print media outlets, such as New York magazine, The New York Times and the Washington Post. Additionally, she is a regular contributor to Paper magazine (she wrote the August 2007 cover story on pop phenomenon, Rhianna) and Papermag.com. Bevy also writes for Interview and Glamour and is a Contributing Editor for Latina Magazine and 21st Century Hustle. Bevy was selected as a Honorary "Glambassador" for Glamour Magazine in 2009.
Networking is predatory, huge cocktail parties are a waste of time and money! If you really want to make an impression and develop a meaningful relationship, there's nothing better than an intimate dinner!
Dinner With Bevy was founded on the premise of bringing music artists together with luxury brands. We take great pride in the relationships that have been fostered at our events! More than a public relations service or even brand building, Dinner With Bevy was created as an opportunity for artists to illustrate who they are off the stage.
Although the dinners started as a way to facilitate relationships between musicians and 'fashionistas", we have expanded to work with brands. Bevy has served as an "ambassador" for several Moet Hennessy spirits including Belvedere and Hennessy. Hosting dinners on their behalf to introduce new product to consumers and editors. Bevy also hosted a dinner for painter, Ryder Robinson sponsored by Hugo Boss.
Our dinners are held at some of the hottest spots in the country. We create one of a kind, unique experiences for each and every one of our clients. From the menu to the guest list to the gift bag, every detail of the event is matched to the artist or brands true identity and interests. That's what Dinner With Bevy is all about, Intimate Connections!
